San Miguel de Allende, Mexico: A Perfect Weekend Getaway

San Miguel de Allene, Mexico is one of my favorite weekend getaways to date. We had already planned to go, but when Travel and Leisure named it the best city in the world for the second year in a row, we knew we were in for a treat. Below find a recipe for a perfect San Miguel de Allende getaway! 

Find the perfect place to stay. One with ornate tile, exposed brick, and rod-iron rails. One with an expansive terrace, equipped with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and an outdoor dining area. And don't forget to enjoy the homemade chips and guacamole made by the loving chef and housekeeper! We stayed at the gorgeous rental featured below. The Rosewood San Miguel de Allende also looks amazing.

Enjoy rooftop cocktails at sunset. We loved the vibe at quince. Yummy rose and cocktails. Tasty snacks. And the best golden hour views of the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel and the entire city.

Wander the city streets. Get off the beaten path! There you'll find delicious, authentic Mexican food and markets filled with local handicrafts. I came home with a suitcase full of intricately painted pottery. There is beauty in every corner in San Miguel de Allende, so any turn you take is the right one!
